BUREAU VERITAS Group has successfully renewed their contract with the Kenyan Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and will keep providing the Pre-Export Verification of Conformity service (PVoC).
This PVoC programme which aims to protect consumer, manufacturers and the environment from using substandard or counterfeited products as well as faster goods release at Kenyan Entry points with the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) has just been renewed and it will start its implementation on January 18th, 2015. Some changes are included in this renewal.
With the development of the programme, Bureau Veritas is carrying out the verification of regulated goods in the countries of export within the assigned regions:

• CENTRAL AFRICA
Products covered remain identical:
- Food and related products
- Chemical and related products
- Textile and Consumer products
- Building and related products
- Mechanical and electrical products
The PVoC programme offers 3 different routes to demonstrate products compliance:
Route A: Applicable to any goods and any trader
Route B: Option for frequent traders of goods that have been registered by Bureau Veritas
Route C: Option for frequent traders of goods that have been licensed by Bureau Veritas
