KEBS (Kenya Bureau of Standards) draws attention to the fact that some shipments of lubricants could have already been entered into Kenya without having been inspected by the PVoC partners for issuance of a CoC.

Therefore, KEBS highlights that lubricants are in the PVoC list and should be inspected at source in order to be issued with a CoC if found complying. Any goods subject to the list that do not conform to the Kenya Standards or approved specifications shall not be permitted into Kenya, and shall be re-shipped, returned or destroyed at the expense of the importer.

Bureau Veritas provides the PVoC service to verify the products according to the applicable standards.
