Following the expansion of the PVOC programme to cover all imports destine to Kenya, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has notified both AIR and SEA carriers that with effect from 1st January 2016, only cargo that meets the PVoC requirements will be loaded for destinations within Kenya.

Accordingly, all carriers are requested to ensure that a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) issued by KEBS appointed inspection agents is produced prior to loading.

Cargo consigned to Kenya which do not conform will not be permitted to off-load & will be consigned back to the country of origins at the carriers cost.

Bureau Veritas provides the PVoC service to verify the products according to the applicable standards.
