Following international call for tenders, Bureau Veritas has been renewed for 3 years for the delivery of verification services to exporters to Tanzania. Since May 1st, Bureau Veritas provides PVOC services under this new phase of the programme.
Exporters, importers and clearing agents are now able to enjoy Bureau Veritas electronic certificates that speed up their clearance process on arrival.
Updated information have been published beginning of May on www.verigates.com
The following products are concerned:
- Toys and sports
- Electrical and electronics
- Automotive
- Chemical products
- Mechanical material and gas appliances
- Paper and stationary
- Furniture (wood & metal articles)
- Safety (personal protective) equipment
- Food and food products
- Used products
Companies exporting these kinds of goods to Tanzania have to get the required PVOC Certificate of Conformity after having the conformity of the goods checked prior shipment. To do so, exporters are advised to contact Bureau Veritas with the list of products, related conformity proofs to Tanzanian standards or international/regional/national standards.
To facilitate trade and to adjust intervention according to the risk, the PVoC programme still offers 3 different routes to demonstrate products compliance:
Route A: Applicable to any goods and any trader
Route B: Option for frequent traders of goods that have been registered by Bureau Veritas
Route C: Option for frequent traders of goods that have been licensed by Bureau Veritas
