The Government of Uganda confirms the official start of the Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) on 1st of June 2013 after a six month awareness campaign to inform all stakeholders. 

In coordination with the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS), all goods subjected to PVoC will have to present a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) at destination for clearance purposes. 

The PVoC involves checking conformity of goods according to national standards or an international equivalent prior to shipment. 

Bureau Veritas was selected by the Government / UNBS following a call for tenders. It also implements Voc programs in Kenya, Tanzania and Botswana.
