Côte d'Ivoire - Release of the Notice to Importers in the local newspapers

The Ministry of Commerce, Crafts and SME Promotion has published a Notice to Importers in the local newspapers on June 19th, 2018, confirming that the VoC programme becomes mandatory from July 16th, 2018 (export date on transport document).

 

The programme becomes mandatory from July 16th for the below product categories:

1. Food products
2. Electrical and electronic products or products of renewable energies
3. Cosmetics and hygiene products
4. Building materials
5. Packaging
6. Auto spare parts, auto accessories and lubricants
7. Machinery
8. Pressure equipment
9. Personal Protective Equipment
10. Other products linked to health, safety and environment
11. Textile
12. Footwear
13. Toys
 
Regulated products shipped from July 16th, 2018 shall be subject to the VoC programme and presented with the Certificate of Conformity for Customs clearance.

 

Bureau Veritas has been appointed by the Ministry of Commerce, Crafts and SME Promotion for the implementation of this VoC programme.

Goods will have to be assessed prior export to Côte d'Ivoire and will have to comply with the VoC programme and related applicable technical requirements.
